ABOUT ABOUT

Relief Beerfest is intended to bring members of the community together with members of Relief Engine Company in a centralized location with the intent of trying new brews from breweries near and far. Local businesses have the opportunity to sponsor parts of the event in return for different levels of recognition. This event is one of the three fundraising events that Relief Engine Company puts together every year. The two others are the Easter Flower Sale during Easter weekend, and the Build a Scarecrow Station during Fall Day in Moorestown. With proceeds from these events, Relief Engine Company is able to do a number of things that benefit the community. One example would be the preservation of town history by refurbishing and maintaining one of Moorestowns first fire engines, a 1922 Aarons Fox. Another example would include treat handouts for children during the Christmas Parade down Moorestowns Main Street. But one of the most important allocations of these funds would be the motivation and retention of its volunteers. Providing them with much needed recognition and the occasional pizza after a long day on the fire grounds.
